Community Manual

The United Proud Women community is a group that welcomes all individuals who have lived experience of being a sexual minority woman. This includes but is not limited to those who identify as lesbian, bisexual, transgender (both MTF or FTM), queer, and/or non-binary individuals who have experienced challenges and discrimination because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. In order to ensure that the community remains a safe and inclusive space for all members, United Proud Women invites everyone to review the community manual. The manual contains guidelines and rules for behavior within the community, as well as information on resources and support available to members.

One of the most important aspects of the community manual is the emphasis on personal safety. Members are encouraged to prioritize their own safety and the safety of others in the community. This includes creating a harassment-free environment, respecting boundaries and consent, and practicing active listening and open communication.

In addition to personal safety, the manual also emphasizes the importance of creating a safe space for the community as a whole. This involves using inclusive language, respecting diverse experiences and perspectives, and maintaining confidentiality within the community. By following these guidelines and promoting an environment of respect and support, United Proud Women hopes to create a space where all members can feel valued and empowered.
